Description: |
|
Near the Chao Phraya river stands the atypical Chedi of Wat
Kharuhabodi whose golden tip mixes spherical and circular
shapes. This stupa houses a fragment of the Buddha's bone from
Kapilavastu, the capital of the Shakya clan to which the Buddha
belonged. These relics were discovered by an English
archaeologist in 1898. |
