 Description:   Suan Sa-on  This is a nature and wildlife education centre to the east of Lam Pao dam. Suan Sa-on is a natural open zoo with plenty of wildlife, including the rare red gaur, which is the symbol of the park.

Getting there: On the east of Lam Pao dam between the Amphoe Mueang district and Sahasakhan district.

Hunting in this area is prohibited as declared by the ministry of agriculture and cooperatives on July 16, 2531. It covers an area of around 210,938 Rai including the area of Kalasin province and Udonthani province. Generally, the area is mostly covered by the water in the Lam Pao dam with a dry dipterocarp forest of around 1,600 Rai which already includes the area of Wildlife Convervation Development and Extension Station.

The area is on the east of Lam Pao Dam covering an area of 1,420 Rai. This area covered by a fertile dry dipterocarp forest. Here the visitors can see the rare red gaur closely because it is not fierce. Nature study trail is available.

Opens daily from 07.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. with free of charges.

Resorts and camping sites are also available for visitors.
