Rama VI Dam is located in Moo 10, Tambon Tha Luang, Amphoe Tha
Rua. It is the first diversion dam in Thailand and was built to
hold the water of Pasak river in order to preserve water for
agriculture. It was constructed in Rama VI's period. The dam
was originally named Khuen Phra Thienracha and was later changed
into Rama VI Dam. Currently, the dam is in the charge of Royal
Irrigation Department. The dam has 5 steel flood gates. A huge
amount of water could be provided to more than 680,000 rai of
agricultural areas. Tourists can relax along the calm side and
take pictures of the sunset at Rama VI Dam. Moreover, along
the dam, there is an OTOP center for tourists to choose their
souvenirs such as products made of coconuts or
mulberry paper flowers. Rama 6 Dam is close to other
famous tourist attractions in Ayutthaya Province, for example,
Wat Satue and Wat Kai Jae. Therefore, it is a great stop to get
some rest before continuing your journey For more
