 Description:   Bangkok City Pillar Shrine was built along with the establishment of Rattanakosin as a capital city. It is the custom of the Brahmins to raise the pillars in the most suitable place in additional to blessed the city and then the city is allow to build after that.

                  People and tourist usually pass by the shrine to pay a respect for blessing their luck or prosperity. So all around the shrine has surrounded by sacred place or holy relics.

                  Buddha statue tower is the tower in front of the shrine it a place for prayer or offering lotus or another supplement.

            The fake statue of the shrine. There are a way to pay a respect of this statue by lit incense and candle then place a golden seal on statue and finish with tide silk around it.

                  The real statue of the shrine.  You can only bow down and offering garland in order to pay a respect for this statue.

                  The five satyr statue. This statue symbolize a protector of the shrine people usually bow down and offering garland in order to receive their protection blessing.

                  There are some kind of tradition about refill oil lantern that will give a blessing in various ways for example refill oil lantern of Birthday will give you a long life time or refill oil lantern of exorcise will give you a lucky charm.

                  In nearby area there are a special service for everyone who vow their wish on the shrine and that wish is actually fulfill. Special service is replacement to entertain the god to fulfill the vow they can perform all kind of entertain for example Dance theater and Musical folk drama.

                  The Bangkok City Pillar Shrine has a local name is Bangkok Lak meang this shrine is a center of Bangkok so it connect to a lot of interesting places such as Wat Phra Keaw, The royal palace, Wat Pho, Sao Ching Cha, Wat Raja Nadha, Wat Phu kao Thong, and National museum.

                   The City Pillar Shrine is locate at the opposite of royal palace so it is very easy to travel to because there is a lot of public bus and shuttle that pass by this area.
