King Taksin Shrine

 Known as:   King Taksin the Great Stupa Memorial    
 Description:   The Shrine of King Taksin is located at the Pak Num Jo Lo area (Klong Ta Lad), Tambol Paknam.
            History mentioned that the population built this shrine as a monument for King Taksin as he marched across 3 places which are Pak Nam Jo Lo where he conquered Myanmar. The area here was eroded resulting the Chedi to be destroyed. In year 1948, the villagers rebuilt the shrine again in the same area near to Klong Ta Lad and Bangpakong River. The other 2 places where the King passed are Viharn Wat Chaeng and Viharn Wat Po Bangkla. The shrines were located on the bank of the river opposite Koh Lad. The entrance of Wat Pak Nam Jo Lo was decorated with a horse statue on the right and an elephant statue on the left.
 

Visitors can travel here to worship the shrine, relax and see the beautiful view from the river bank.
