 Description:   Bang Pa Kong Dyke is situated at Pai Sawaek area, Bang Kaew District. It is only 6 kilometers far from the city if you take Chachoengsao – Bang Khla road. It is a part of Bang Pa Kong Development Project. The Dyke barred the freshwater from sea water in order to save and distribute water for utilizing and for the increase of industries in the eastern of Thailand.

The aims of the project

1. To spare water for utilizing, agricultures, and industries as well as Disaster Prevention.

2. To bar sea water from mixing with freshwater. At first, it was 200 kilometers away from each other but now got lessen distance to 100 kilometers away from estuary. And, these procedures can last long for a month or two.

3. To be a water resource for agriculture and utilizing for Bang Khla District, Muang District, Baan Po District, Bang Pa Kong District, Chacoengsao, Pan Thong District, Chonburi.

4. To be a water resource for agricultural project; Phra Ong – Chaiyanuchit Operation and Maintenance Project, Bang Pluang Operation and Maintenance Project and Nakhornnayok Operation and Maintenance Project.

Construction Duration: 14 years (1993-2006)
