 Description:   The highlight of Wat Phra That Chedi Luang is an ancient bell-shaped Lanna style stupa, surrounded by smaller ancient chedis and a historic ordination hall. With 88 meters in height and 24 meters in diameter, Phra That Chedi Luang is the tallest religious structure in Chiang Rai. The stupa was erected in circa 1290 by King Saen Phu, the 3rd king of the Lanna kingdom.
