Description: |
|
Wat Mung Muang is ancient and is a survivor. It is believed this
temple predates the actual founding of the city of Chiang Rai,
and its Buddha statue is at least 600 years old. The temple, in
what is considered a miracle, emerged safely from World War II,
when the city was bombed and eight grenades fell into the temple
but did not explode. |
