 Description:   The Chao Pho Pratu Pa Shrine is considered sacred facility in Lampang where drivers who passing-by usually honk their car horns or set off firecrackers as a sigh of respect. Legend has it that Chao Pho Pratu Pha was a great warrior of the Lampang ruler in ancient time. When Burmese troops came to do war, Chao Pho Pratu Pa fought Burmese troops to defend Lampang at Pratu Pa (Cliff’s Gate). After the fierce fight, he finally ran down and dropped on a small rock and passed away while his two swords were still in his hands like he’s ready to fight. After the war has pass, people had built the shrine to honor the braveness of warriors. It has since become a sacred and revered place of worship. Stacks of offering can be seen around the site and the shrine.

Getting there: By Car: It is around 50 kilometre from Lampang town on the Lampang-Ngao Road between Km 649 and 650 on the right.
