Despite its name, Wat Chiang Rai is located in Lampang city
center and as the famous White Temple in Chiang Rai its main
hall and the statues and elements around are white. Decorated
with mirror facet, it can twinkle according to the inclination
of the sun. On the right side of the ordination hall (viharn),
there is a large seated Buddha, also white. The interior of the
main viharn house beautifully colored paintings and a golden
seated Buddha. |
