Wat Mahathat is an ancient temple in Chiang Khan. It was
established in 1654 at the same time with the establishment of
Chiang Khan. It had been the office of Chiang Khan governor for
many periods. There are the throne of the governor and Gong
Chai. There are Chedi Mahathat, an ancient monastery, and a
sermon hall with ancient wall paintings which have been faded.
It is respectful among Chiang Khan people. |
