Description: |
|
Lop Buri is widely known in the Kingdom for being the best
source for high quality lime-rich mud or marl, called Din So
Phong in Thailand. The marl comes mainly from Din So Phong or
Hin Song Kon Village, ThaleChup Son Sub-district (by a canal
called KhlongChonlaprathan, around Saphan 6, or Bridge 6).
Nearly every home is involved in the production of the precious
marl, specializing in a type of white marl with a delicate but
dense texture. This particular type is not suited for
agricultural purposes, and is used instead as a raw material for
products such as talcum powder, cosmetics, toothpaste and
furniture filler. |
