LOPBURI HISTORIC CITY  -  Wat Chi Pa Sitaram
วัดชีป่าสิตาราม
 Address:
 Known as:   Wat Shipa Sitaram
Description:   Wat Shipa Sitaram located at Narai Haharat road, Lopburi province. It had been deserted archeology site for many years then the venerable monk Sang restored and named Shipa Sitaram. It’s presumed that the spherical pagoda shape with glass lotus base was built in Ayutthaya period but now the top of pagoda fell down and remains only the base. The Ayutthaya style hall of temple is renovated in Rattanakosin period and you still see the trace of mural paintings inside.
Inside the temple, it provides the medical treatment by herbal steam and traditional massage. Now it opens the Thai traditional massage school in the charge of the center of study and Thai traditional medicine. The herb for treatment is also grown in the botanic garden of the center.  The Thai traditional treatment in the temple is an idea of priest Pipattanakorn, the abbot of Wat Shipa Sitaram. He has promoted the course of 372 hours of Thai massage for becoming the assistant of healer to the ministry of public health.
The temple opens every day from 8.30 to 16.30. Free entrance
