Description:   Originated from Sa Nga River in Myanmar, Pha Suea Waterfall is an important tourist attraction in Maehongson. Situated 26 kilometers away from the city, the waterfall is in Pla Cave-Pha Suea Waterfall National Park, Tambol Mok Cham Pae, Amphoe Mueng, Maehongson. It is a medium-sized waterfall with the height of 10 meters and the width of 15 meters. Besides, the waterfall can be visited all year round.
Pha Suea Waterfall is another beautiful waterfall in the province. In rainy season, there will be a lot of water falling down from the cliff, making it resemble a mat. And that is where the name ‘Pha Suea’ comes from. (‘pha’ means a cliff, and ‘suea’ means a mat.) In other seasons, the small pebbles and rocks will come out as the water level is not high.  However, anyone who visits the waterfall would wish to see the beauty of the waterfall rather than that of the rocks, so the best time to visit Pha Suea Waterfall is the rainy season or from July-September.
Apart from the waterfall, visitors will get to enjoy the fish that are swimming in the stream. And if there is more time in hand, it is also a good idea to visit “Phra Tamnak Pang Tong” or Pang Tong Palace which is located nearby. Or coming down to Pla Cave and feed the fish inside is not a bad idea either.
Visitors can go Pha Suea Waterfall from Maehongson via the Highway No. 1095 (Maehongson-Pai) for around 18 kilometers until spotting the road to Pang Tong Palace. Turn to the road and continue driving for 10 kilometers.
Pha Suea Waterfall opens every day from 8.30 a.m. – 5 p.m. The admission fees are 20 THB for an adult and 10 THB for a child with Thai nationality; 100 THB for an adult and 50 THB for a child with foreign nationality.
