The Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, located approximately
14 kilometers from town, is an educational institute for
commissioned Thai Army cadets, complete with many sporting
facilities. Visitors can tour the academy’s shooting range,
paddle canoes, ride a rescue sledge in the nearby reservoir, and
even enjoy an 18-hole golf course. Group activities include
treks, camping, and rock-climbing sessions on natural and
man-made cliffs. Other attractions include the statue of King
Rama V the Great depicted in full army regalia, a Royal Thai
army museum featuring Thai military history, and a sacred shrine
dedicated to a military leader who helped defeat invading Khmer
forces, the Chao Pho Khun Dan Shrine. Touring the extensive
military campus by car is the best option. However, bicycles can
be rented from the tourist center inside the compound.
To
get to the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, take the
Bangkok-Ongkharak route to Phrommani Sub-district. It is located
75 kilometers from Bangkok. It is located in Phrommani

Several sporting activities are
available for the public. This include shooting (at a standard
shooting range), canoeing, ridding on a rescue sledge (in the
Academy's reservoir), and golfing in an 18-hole golf course.
Group activities available are trekking, camping, and climbing
either a real or an artificial cliff. Advance booking (of at
least 7 days) is highly recommended. Accommodation and
