100 Years Rangkratoom Old Market is located at Tumbol Bang
Phasee, Amphoe Bang Lane, Nakhon Pathom.
It is a distance of 5 kilometers from Amphoe Bang Lane.
The market is located at the bank of the Khlong Phra Pimol and
Khlong Bang Phasee which flow through Chao Phaya River. Because
it used played a main role as a trading center, visitors will be
able to conveniently glimpse into the past. Visitors will also
enjoy a scenic floating market, wooden houses, as the local
people still live there. There are varies kind of food and
drinks to try such as boiled duck in salty soup, Guay Jub, Hor
Mhok Mor Din, also desserts like Kanom Bueng, old style Kalojee
and fruits. For those who are interested can find antiques,
souvenirs, and collectibles here especially at Bang Ern Panish,
which stores antiques such as old style vending machine, coffee
maker, and music player. After visit the market you can learn
how the locals gathering for growing rice at another tourist
attraction which is not far from a market or worship the
principle Buddha image in Raang Kratoom Temple’s ubosot. The 100
Years Rangkratoom Old Market is another place-to-visit which can
be easily reached from Bangkok.
How to get there
By
car : When you reach Amphoe Bang Lane T intersection, take the
Bang Lane-Lad Loom Kaew exit. This road will lead you to 4
different routes to Rangkratoom Old Market.
By bus : Take the
Pathum Thani-Bang Lane bus at Amphoe Bang Lane to the market
entrance then take a motorcycle taxi to the market.
From
Mochit bus station in Bangkok, take a Mochit-Kam Pang Saan bus
and get out when reach the entrance of Weruwanaram temple. Cross
the road and take a motorcycle taxi to 100 Years Rangkratoom Old
Market.
The market opens only Saturday and Sunday. From
