Wat Phra In Plaeng  -
 Known as:     วัดพระอินทร์แปลง
Description:   Wat Phra In Plaeng enshrines the 1,000-year-old Phra In (Indra) Plaeng Buddha image. According to legend, numerous attempts to cast the image failed until the god Indra lent his assistance. The image is believed to grant success in study, work or life, the retrieval of lost goods and recovery from illness.

What to see
Apart from the principal Buddha image, the temple has a beautiful gate facing east across the Mekong River, and a number of statues of mythical creatures from the Himmapan Forest, including two life-size renderings of the legendary nareepol "fruit maidens."

Getting there
The temple is within walking distance of the Windsor Hotel and 1.8km from the clocktower. It is one of a string of riverside temples along the Mekong.
