 Description: The Corn & Millet Research Centre of Thailand (Suwan Farm) was originally known as “Thana Farm” established by Marshal Sarit Dhanarajata. Later on the centre was shifted to be under supervision and management of Kasetsart University. The aim of the project is to encourage research on agriculture within the area.

The Corn & Millet Research Centre of Thailand (Suwan Farm) is found to have various kinds of farm crops including Sesame and Por. Sesame are commonly found in healthy foods nowadays but people rarely see its original plant. While Por is commonly used in handicrafts but is rarely recognized when in its primary state.

The centre also grows Dok Kam Foi which is used in making tea. It has several advantages to the body including lowering fat and blood pressure. Sunflowers are also grown here. Sunflower seeds are processed into many types of snacks such as salted sunflower seeds, honey flavored sunflower seeds, herbal scented sunflower seeds and many more! In Thailand, one of the most common products from sunflower is cooking oil.

Other than growing crops, the Corn & Millet Research Centre of Thailand (Suwan Farm) also distributes a large variety of fresh vegetables.

The most popular produce of the centre is undeniably corn products. It has an exceptional type of sweet corn which is sold as plain steamed corn and uncooked corn. Its corn milk is guaranteed to be one of the best corn milks you will ever taste. It is naturally sweet and creamy. As the corn milk is highly popular, it is recommended that visitors give it a try at arrival.
