Talad Nam Bang Ku Wiang is situated around the joining point of
Bang Ku Wiang canal mouth, Bang Rao Nok canal mouth, and Bangkok
Noi canal between Bod bon temple and Pho En temple, Amphoe Bang
Kruai, Nonthaburi. Additionally, HRH Maha Chakri Sirindhorn paid
a visit here 10 years ago, leaving all merchants and villagers
with the utmost pleasure.
This morning market starts from
6.00hrs to 8.00hrs. Despite its small size, fruits and
vegetables available here are local produce from the vicinity;
thus, are cleanliness and price guaranteed. Apart from fresh
ingredients, food and drinks, staple and common goods, making
merit in a rare Buddhist traditional Thai way is still preserved
here. The scene of monks from nearby areas coming with canal
boats to collect alms offered by villagers every morning gives
reminiscence which anyone could take part in.
Access The
ferry from Wat Chalo pier in Amphoe Bang Kruai departs every 15
minutes and takes 45 minutes to the destination. Service is
available from 5.00hrs – 20.00hrs with the fare of 5 baht.

with the same price and traveling time. A one-hour charter ride
is also available from Bangkok’s Chang pier via Bangkok Noi
canal – Aom Talad Nam Bang Ku Wiang canal, costing 300 baht. |
