 Known as:
Description:   Over 720 million baht was dedicated to the construction of this center, created by the Fine Arts Department in 1996 on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. Its name was bestowed by His Majesty the King himself. The National Archives is spread out over approximately 30 acres, constructed in the applied Thai architecture of King Rama IX.  It comprises a group of 4 buildings, connected and arranged around an all-purpose square, totaling 20,000 square meters. The multi-story buildings contain spaces dedicated to archives, research, exhibitions of royal activities and initiatives, alongside the square, where activities are often organized.
The National Archives has become a center for study and research as well as the display and preservation of documents related to His Majesty’s life. Royal works, such as speeches, compositions, paintings and audio recordings can be admired here.
It is open on weekdays from 9.00 am-4.30 pm. To peruse the photos, the archives or to organize a group visit, please contact the National Archives in advance at 0 2902 7940 ext. 111, 113.
