Wat Phrachao Nang Din  -
วัดพระนั่งดิน
 Address:
Known as:   Wat Phra Nang Din
Description:   Legend says the principal Buddha image at this temple was cast contemporaneously during Lord Buddha’s lifetime, its early years stretching back to mythic times over 2,500 years ago. According to lore, once locals constructed the image, and it was to be fitted to the traditional base, the image could not be lifted despite all attempts.
The image’s name, “Phrachao Nang Din”or “image seated upon the ground”, was thus created and its story passed on through the ages. The statue retains the unique feature of remaining unadorned by the typical Buddhist base.

WatPhrachao Nang Din is at 45 Mu 7, TambonWiang, 4 kilometers from AmphoeMueang along Highway No. 1148.
The temple is open daily from 8.00 am-5.00 pm.
