หลักเมืองหล่มเก่า
 Address:
Known as:   The metropolis pillar shrine of Phetchaboon Lom Kao City Pillar
Description:   Lom Kao City Pillar is at Bung Nam Tao intersection in Bung Nam Tao sub-district and was built in 1944. Its pillar was made from cement and buried in the ceremony chaired by Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram on April 23, 1944. Phetchabun City Pillar is a historical site of Phetchabun people and shows evidence of moving the capital to Phetchabun province. People in Phetchabun worship it as a holy object along with the city.
During the Second World War and the Greater East Asia War, Bangkok was attacked by the enemy, as a result, people had to evacuate to upcountry.  Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, the prime minister had a policy to move the capital to a safe place and selected Phetchabun to be the capital because it is a strategically favorable location surrounded by mountains with only one exit. Therefore, it is difficult for enemies to invade. The cabinet drafted the Royal Decree called “Nakhonban Phetchabun Administrative Emergency Decree B.E. 2487 (1944)”.
Later on April 23, 1944, Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram buried the pillar in the ceremony. After that, many central agencies moved in, eg,
•The Ministry of Finance located at Ruesi Sombat Cave, Bung Nam Tao sub-district, Lom Sak district, is a place for storing treasure.
•Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy was located at Ban Pa Daeng in Mueang district of Phetchabun province.
•The Ministry of Education was located at Ban Nong Sae, Bung Khla sub-district, Lom Sak district, Phetchabun province.
On July 20, 1944, the House of Representatives did not agree on the approval of the Nakhonban Phetchabun Administrative Emergency Decree B.E. 2487. Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram therefore resigned his position on July 24, 1944. Nakhonban Phetchabun was therefore terminated and the agencies had to move to Bangkok.
Travel: Use the same route to Ruesi Sombat Cave but the pillar is at the junction on the right to the entrance to the Phetchabun Airport.
