Tat Mok National Park     -
อุทยานแห่งชาติตาดหมอก
 Address:
 Known as:
Description:   37km east from Phetchabun town, it covers an area of 290 sq.km. comprising the fertile unspoiled forest in the mountainous area. It also provides an important watershed for the Pa Sak River and Chi River. Moreover, it is border area of 3 national parks: Nam Nao National Park, Phu Kheaw Wildlif Sanctuary and Tabo-Huay Yai Sanctuary.
It is the 87th national park of Thailand and declared as the national park on 1998. The main attraction is the view point on km.3 where you can see the whole Phetchabun town and sunset.
That Mok is another interesting point to visit. It is 7km far from park office. However, you need to follow the car route and walking trail for about 1,800m along the canal. The final part of the trail is quite steep. Tat Mok waterfall is a one-tier waterfall flowing from the 750m high cliff. The forest around the waterfall is unspoiled. The water that falls from the cliff creates the fine mist which is the origin of the waterfall’s name. Both sides of the trails leading up to the waterfall are shaded by large trees, giving the hike up to the waterfall a relaxing feel. A nature trail also provides an up-close look at the beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit is between October and May. The Tat Mok National Park also has an immense waterfall fed by streams of water flowing through the cracks and crevices of the mountains, creating the beautiful 12-tier Namtok Song Nang. Tourists can visit each tier in one day.
