Kaeng Chet Khwae National Park covers the area of Kaeng Chet
Khwae National Park and PhuDaeng Ron National Park, which has
beautiful waterfall alongKhwaeNoi stream and is the important
sightseeing location. The area of this national park is around
163,125 Rai or 261 square kilometers locating in Wat Bot
district, Chat Trakan district, Nakhon Thai district, and Wang
Thong district in Phitsanulok province.
Because in
present day, the many forest areas are being trespassed,
damaged, and claimed. This causes the unbalanced of nature and
the lead of drought, which causes rain to not fall during
seasonal time. In order to stop the problem of deforestand
claiming the land, the government has created policy of
increasing the preserving forest area. The Royal Forest
Departmentwas reported from Phitsanulok’s Royal Forest
Departmentthat the area of Kaeng Chet Khwae National Park and
PhuDaeng Ron National Park are beautiful sightseeing area and
the surrounding forests are still keeping its fertility and are
appropriate to be counted as National Parks.
The general
topography is wide mountain rangesand has very fertile forest.
The forest is composed of mixed deciduous forest, dry
dipterocarp forest, and hill evergreen forest, which are filled
with many significant kinds of trees and also economically
important such as teak, craib, xyliaxylocarpataub,Burma
padauk,iron wood,resin, etc. It is also wild animals’ living
place such as barking deer,wil boar,monkey,langur,palm
civet,porcupine,rabbit, many species of birds, variety of
snakes, Bengal monitor, and especially different species of
fish. |
