Ko Siray  -
 เกาะสิเหร่
 Address:
Known as:   Ko Sire Ko Sirey
Description:   Koh Si-re is hardly called an island. But it is, at least to the locals. This 20-square-meter land is separated from Phuket’s mainland Khlong Tha Chin canal, a shallow mangrove swamp, with a causeway linked to the city. Koh Si-re was a village of sea gypsies but now becomes a big community of locals. A large Reclining Buddha at Wat Ko Si-re on the hilltop is revered by the community. The muddy seabed means the island is not good for swimming, though there’s choices of accommodation from budget to upscale. Along its east coast finds an array of seafood restaurants you can try fresh catch of the day.
