Description: |
|
This village is at the mouth of the river flowing slowly into
the sea. It is an ancient town, in which time passes amazingly
slowly. Although Phetchakasem Road was cut leading to growth in
surrounding areas, this village still smells original fishing
lifestyles and is the location of the first National Fisheries
Association of Thailand.
People passing it will see colorful fishing boats parking near a
pier, sand beaches and delicious and well-known seafood shops,
including fresh and dried seafood product shops such as fresh
and sun dried squid, dried sea fish, dried shrimp and shrimp
paste, etc.
The first interesting point is a wide range
of seafood shops depending on the increasing number of tourists.
As local raw materials are always fresh and new, the sea is
beautiful and silent and food is worth the taste.
Tourists prefer to visit this village to eat food, take
photos of fishing villages and savour sea wind. In addition, it
is a source of souvenir shops selling real, fresh, clean and
high quality seafood.
Nearby tourist sites are the
Mangrove Nature Trail, “Sirinart Rajini Ecosystem Learning
Center”, where a wooden bridge spans for walking and surveying
the fertility of forests, Khao Kalok and Naresuan Beach, which
is about 7 and 9 km, respectively.
It is easily
accessible and not far from lodgings in Pran Buri. |
