 Description:   Sa Kaeo and Sa Khwan are two fresh water ponds believed to contain sacred holy water once which blesses people luck and victory. According to the legend, Somdej Chaophraya Maha Kasatsuk (later became King Rama I) stopped at the ponds to use the sacred water to swear for the courage to fight against the Cambodians, and he laster won that fight. The water from both ponds were also used for coronation ceremonies in the past, and one of the pond has finally become the name of the province.

Getting there: The two ponds are located in Tambon Sa Kaeo on the west side of town before reaching the city, on the right turn at 246-kilometer mark.
