Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai
วัดบางพลีใหญ่ใน
 Address:
 Known as:
Description:   Only 500 meters from the Tako pond popular for the water sports, this temple was formerly known as Wat Phlapphla Chai Chana Songkhram as it was built to commemorate King Naraesuan the Great’s victory over Burma. After a while, a large bronze Buddha image in the gesture of subduing Mara with open eyes built in Sukhothai style was taken to be the principal image of phra ubosot here. The image, known as Luangpho To, later became very popular and highly respected among large group of people until today. A great time to visit is during the annual Yon Bua or Rap Bua Festival which takes place one day before the full moon of the 11th lunar month. Luangpho To will be taken in a boat along the canal for people to pay some respect. Tips, there’s also an old market along the canal nearby the temple with lots of good food and souvenirs.
