 Description:   Previously known as Wat Takothong, this stunning royal temple is located in Tambon Pak Nam and built in the late Ayutthaya period. The main building was renovated during the reign of King Rama III to be more elaborated and beautiful. The upper part above the main entrance is nicely decorated with Chinese porcelain and ceramics while inside is a mural painting depicting the first book of the Buddhist scripture dealing with the life of Buddha. Many parts are done beautifully especially the upper part of the front building that is lavishly decorated with exquisite carved wood. There are also four traces of Buddha’s footprints enshrined in this temple and the hall of sermons in this temple is built in Thai style which its structure is made totally from the teak.
