Description: |
|
Known among the locals as this temple is the only Thai-Buddhism
in Phra Pradaeng community where the rest is the Mon-Buddhism
sect. Built by Phraya Phetphichai during the reign of King Rama
II, the unique characters of this temple is the architectural
characteristic on its roof which is covered with ancient Mon
ceramic tiles while the temple roof has none. The front of the
main building, ubosot, too, is worth the visit for the stucco
adorned with vine lines and decorated with ancient porcelain and
ceramic pieces. Inside the building is the cast metal Buddha
image in the gesture of subduing Mara.
