Description: |
|
Pom Puen Suea Mop fortress was in a battle against the France
colonization in Franco-Siamese War in 1893. At the present, the
Ministry of Defense renovated this fort to be a museum
portraying many pictures during the wars and the progress of the
Royal Thai Navy. The tourist can walking around the area and
study the ecosystem among the mangrove forest which is home to
the egrets, seagulls, mudskippers and many kinds of crabs. The
highlight is the exhibition of the H.M.S. Mae Khlong Battleship
which served in the Royal Thai Navy longest than any other
vessel for more than 60 years.
