 Description:   Phra Chulachomklao Fort is located on the river mouth of the Chao Phraya River in Tambon Laem Fa Pha, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan. It was built in the reign of King Rama V to protect the country from an invasion of European countries during the time of colonisation. This fort was used to fight against the enemies in The Franco-Siamese War in 1893 when Kingdom of Siam was facing the invasion of two powerful countries; England and France.
In this historical attraction, tourists could visit a statue of King Chulalongkorn which is very magnificent in his marines' uniform of a commander with a sword in his hand.  Under the statue is a museum telling the history of Phra Chulachomklao Fort and  Franco-Siamese War in 1893.
On the left side of the statue, another museum is located to display a decommissioned ships which was in service for the longest period of the navy, HTMS Maeklong. It is decorated with an outstanding red Garuda. Visitors can visit the ship for free of charge.
King Rama V Fortress Historical Park is on the opposite side where an exhibition showing damages from wars and the development of the navy is displayed inside. Moreover, there are also an exhibition of outdoor weapons, evolution of the navy and its role in naval affairs.

Direction: From Phra Samut Chedi junction, drive on Suksawat road and go foward for about 7km using the royal highway no.303. You can also use the bus no.20.
