Description: |
|
Covering an area of over 6 square kilometers, the AoMahachai
Mangrove Forest Natural Resource Study Center is an educational
and research hub highlighting the delicate but essential
mangrove eco-system. There is a nature trail along the mangrove
forest around the Tha Chin Estuary for nature-lovers, as well as
a camping ground for those more adventurous.
The center is
situated in Tambon BangYaPhraek, at the mouth of the Tha Chin
River, on the right hand side. Take Sutthiwatwithi Road for 2.5
kilometers and turn right for 6 kilometers before arriving at
the center. It is located in the area of the National Forest
Reserve on the western side of AoMaha Chai.
The center is
open daily from 8.30 am-5.30 pm. |
