Hin Pad, Wonderful Nature Sculpture Worth Visiting In the
middle of the forests on the edge of a high cliff in Ban Yuan
Sao Viallge, Tha Kanon subdistrict, Khirirat Nikhom district,
Surat Thani province stands imposingly a 6-meter stone, Hin
Phat. Many decades ago a group of hunter accidentally found this
Hin Phat in the forests. When they left the forests, they told
the villagers about a strange shape stone standing precariously,
yet firmly, on a steep cliff. When the story of this miraculous
stone spreads around, many tourists flock in to witness the real
thing. Hin Pad has many striking features : Its base is quite
narrow-only a little over one meter wide-and it is not joined in
one piece with the cliff. There are holes in certain parts that
one’s palm can go through. You can even look through these holes
to see the views of the other side clearly. Its middle and top
part is much wider than its base. The widest part has a
perimeter of about over 20 m. The way it poises it self is very
much like Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Myanmar. Ban Yuan Sao village
residents belief that deities are enshrined in Hin Pad. By
touching Hin Pad and making a wish, your wish can come true.
This wonderful Hin Pad is surrounded by many beautiful large and
small hills. In the morning, |
