Wat Pattaram known as Wat Mai is located on Pattanaram Road,
Talat Lang, Surat Thani. The history of a monk named “Pat”
was to be ordained then stay at this temple, Wat Phra Yok for
several years until 1896, after returning from a pilgrimage with
his teacher. He established the temple that local people call
Wat Mai. The land was previously a graveyard. It is also home
for wild animals such as tigers, monkeys, lemurs, snakes and
rats. |
