Khao Hua Jook Pagoda is located on a hill with spectacular views
of Chaweng lake and Samui Airport runway, not to mention the
beautiful sea view, which looks even more attractive from the
top of the hill.
The gilded pagoda is built on the building,
which houses the imprint of the Buddha's footprint and several
statues of Buddha. There is another Buddha statue inside the
pagoda, behind the glass. Next to the building there are a few
more attributes of Buddhism. Kho Hua Jook Pagoda is an active
religious object often visited by locals come, so when visiting
this site, please follow the rules of decorum..
How to get
there: on the road along the Lake of Chaweng, there is a sign
pointing to direction of "Q bar", go up the hill to the very end
along the road with circular one-way traffic. There you can park
your car or bike and walk up the stairs. The pagoda is located
on the roof of a temple..
Also please do not forget that all
the territory near the pagoda Kho Hua Jook is a sacred place for
Buddhists, so the dress accordingly: nontransparent clothing,
closed knees and shoulders for both men and women. |
