Khrua Pudsorn Pagoda (Laem Din Monks Camp Site) is located at
Laem Din village, Moo 2, Lipa Noi Sub-District, Ko Samui
District, Surat Thani Province. It is believed that Khrua
Pudsorn Pagoda is one of the three pagodas; the other two were
named Samret Temple pagoda and Phra Lam Temple pagoda, which
were built between the late Ayutthaya period (as the history
stated in the book named Chiwiwat) and the early Thon Buri
period. Currently, there is only the footing base of pagoda left
due to the collapse in 1980. The local people together built a
new pagoda based on the former one in the nearby area and
respectfully invited the Buddha relics to be enshrined in the
new pagoda. |
