Wat Namtok Hin Lat  -
วัดน้ำตกหินลาด
 Address:
 Known as:
Description:   Known in Thai as Wat Namtok Hin Lad, Hin Lad Waterfall Temple (or Saunthamma Pala Nikrotharam Temple in full) is set in evergreen tropical jungle just before the trail up to the famous Hin Lad Waterfall, a few kilometres south of Nathon Town, Samui. This forest monastery is usually busy only on the weekends when the locals come to ‘tam boon’ (make merit) and to picnic at the nearby waterfall. The temple is well shaded and calm, making it a perfect place to unwind and relax. It features a lovely garden, walking path, various Buddha images, religious sculptures and a meditation area.
The temple has long been a getaway spot for many Thais who need a break from their daily routine. Some come here for self healing and to overcome personal challenges such as bad relationships and work problems through regular meditation workshops assisted by monks, nuns and trainers. Many simply come here to enjoy being close to Nature. Hin Lad Waterfall Temple is open all year round but the waterfall is best visited during rainy season so you can admire the powerful work of nature and take a dip in the large and small freshwater pools.
