Doi Musoe Market, in fact, comprises of 2 markets: Old Musoe
Market and New Musoe Market. They are 1 kilometer away from each
other. The goods sold in both markets are more or less the same.
The only difference is that Old Musoe Market, more bustling than
the other, is a tent market located on the rode side whereas New
Musoe Market is a newly built market with more parking lots.
The majority of the goods there are agricultural products such
as coffee, shiitake mushroom, strawberry, avocado as well as
brown rice and other warm-climate and native fruits and
vegetables. The vendors are all local. Apart from that,
handcraft goods, for example, clothes and silverware, are also
available in both markets.
The markets open everyday, however, some stalls might
be closed early due to the difficulty in travelling for the
vendors. |
