Description: |

Wat Chantaram, commonly known as Wat Ta Soong, was established
in Ayuddha. The temple possesses a small-size monastery in which
paintings depicting Buddha’s history were completed by local
artists and some of which are understood to be painted later as
they are unbalanced in some ways. Another precious of the temple
is the pulpit LuangPohYai built. In the monastery, a stucco
Buddha’s image and 2-3 Thai wood carvings on tympanum are
installed. On the opposite of the temple is a new large sacred
place. Moreover, LuangPohRuesrilingdum, a renowned monk, ordered
to build several buildings such as a new ubosot of which the
decoration inside is extremely lavish and the windows as well as
the doors painted with devas by skillful artists. Furthermore,
His Majesty the King once presided over the opening of this
sacred place surrounded by low walls. The front wall of the
Mondapainstalls the images of LuangPohParn and LuangPohYai which
are 3 times as big as the real body. The vihanr also installs an
image imitating Shinaratr and the undecomposed body of
LuangPohRuesrilingdum. These structures are similar in that they
are made of white mosaic.
