Wat Phi Chai Puranaram
วัดพิชัยปุรณาราม
 Address:
 Known as:   Wat Krang
Description:   Wat Phichai Puranaram is an active classic Buddhist temple in the city of Uthai Thani. The temple was built in the Ayutthayan era (1350-1767) and formerly known as Wat Krang. It underwent several restorations, the latest in 1979. The original characteristics have been kept. The temple area is cut in two by the road leading into the city. The monks are residing on the west side of the road. The old monastic area is on the east side and contains an ordination hall and a vihara. Both the vihara and the ubosot has a single porch with two entry doors. The ubosot has a double tiered-roof and two exit doors at the rear, while the vihara has a three-tiered roof with a single exit door. The vihara has only air-vents and no windows, typical for constructions of the early Ayutthaya period. It houses a standing Buddha image called Phra Buddha Chaiyasit.
